ARM/THIGH LIFT

ARM LIFT

Arm Lift surgery is a procedure that tightens the arm skin (bat wings). Fat can be reduced by liposuction. These are relatively common procedures especially with large weight loss or with aging. This sometimes happens as the skin loses its elasticity and can become flabby.

Candidates for arm lifts have loose skin mostly on the upper arm between the armpit and elbow. This is caused by skin not retracting back after weight loss, pregnancy, or aging. Excess fat can also make the arm look heavy and reduction by standard liposuction techniques can improve the shape.

One can see the improvement right away*. However, the arms are a mobile area, and recovery is not quick. It may take 3-4 weeks for the swelling to decrease and incisions to heal. Especially with liposuction there may be some chronic swelling and tenderness for a few months.

With proper diet and exercise the result should be long lasting, but over time there will be some relaxation from the aging process*.

THIGH LIFT

Thigh lift surgery is a procedure that tightens the thigh skin. Fat can be reduced by liposuction. These are relatively common procedures especially with large weight loss.

Candidates for thigh lifts have loose skin mostly on the inner thigh. This is caused by skin not retracting back after weight loss, pregnancy, or aging. Excess fat can also make the thigh look heavy and reduction by standard liposuction techniques can improve the shape.
