COSMETIC INJECTIONS

BOTOX® & DYSPORT®

These medications are FDA approved neuromodulators that are injected into the facial muscles to relax them. Once the muscles are relaxed the skin on the surface smooths out and wrinkling is eliminated or reduced in the treated area. It takes approximately 10-14 days for the medication to fully take effect. The effects of the injections typically last about three months. The injections are then repeated to maintain the results. Botox® and Dysport® are sold by the unit. How many units you will need depends on your individual facial anatomy, the strength of your muscles and the various areas that you have treated. During your initial injection consultation, we will discuss your concerns and treatment goals and develop a treatment plan specific to you. These medications can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) of the underarms, hands and feet. We participate in both Alie and Aspire rewards programs, ask about signing up to save money on your injection treatments. Treatments are quick, typically 15 minutes or less and require no downtime.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers

These fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Versa) can be used to replace lost volume in the face, neck, and hands. The temples, cheeks, under eyes, smile lines, lips, chin, jawline, earlobes, neck and hands can be rejuvenated with filler. There are many different types of hyaluronic acid fillers, each with their own unique characteristics. The filler’s particle size, hyaluronic acid concentration, flexibility, and viscosity are taken into consideration when choosing a filler for the area of desired improvement. Filler is sold in prefilled 1 ml syringes. During your initial filler consultation, the type of filler and amount will be determined and a treatment plan specific to you and your concerns will be developed. Filler treatments take about 30 minutes. The results from your filler treatment typically last about a year. There will be swelling and there is always the possibility of bruising after filler treatments. It is best to schedule a filler appointment at least 2 weeks before any special event to allow time for swelling and bruising to resolve.

Biostimulator Fillers

These fillers (Radiesse & Sculptra) have tiny particles that stimulate your own body to produce collagen around these particles. Radiesse can be injected in the cheeks, smile lines, chin, jawline and the back of the hands to add volume while stimulating collagen production in the treated areas. Radiesse can also be injected in a hyperdiluted state to treat skin that has become crepey such as the neck, decollate and upper knees. Radiesse is sold as prefilled 1.5 ml syringes. The results from Radiesse typically last 18 months. Sculptra is great for replenishing lost facial collagen helping to restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. Sculptra is sold by the vial. Typically, a vial per decade is recommended to start with (ex: 4 vials for a person in their 40’s). Sculptra is injected in multiple sessions spaced 8 weeks apart until the desire results are achieved. The results from Sculptra can last up to two years. Sculptra can also be used to help shape the buttocks and hip dips. There will be swelling and there is always the possibility of bruising after filler treatments. It is best to schedule a filler appointment at least 2 weeks before any special event to allow time for swelling and bruising to resolve.

PRF Injections - Biogel

Platelet-rich fibrin (PFR) biogel injections involves having your blood drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet rich fibrin from the red blood cells. A heating and cooling of the PRF turns it into a thick gel like filler. This gel is rich in stem cells and growth factors that help strengthen and rejuvenate the skin. The biogel is then injected into the face to act as a natural filler. We perform these injections in a series of three spaced a month a part. There will be swelling and there is always the possibility of bruising after injection treatments. It is best to schedule a filler appointment at least 2 weeks before any special event to allow time for swelling and bruising to resolve.

PRF Hair Restoration

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) injections can be used to treat thinning hair in both men and women. Platelet rich fibrin uses your body’s own stem cells to stimulate collagen production, tissue rejuvenation, and hair regrowth. The tissue growth stimulates hair follicles, making them larger and healthier so they can produce thicker hair. PRF scalp injections are done in a series of 4 spaced one month apart. After your initial series of injections, a maintenance treatment is recommended every 6-12 months.

Kybella®

Kybella® is a medication that is injected to break down fat cells and is most commonly used under the chin and jawline area. Kybella® is performed in a series of injections spaced 8 weeks apart. Kybella® is sold by the vial. During your initial Kybella® consultation we will develop a treatment plan specific to your desired treatment areas. Swelling in the treatment area after injections is very normal and can be present for up to two weeks.
