Tummy Tuck: (also known as an abdominoplasty) . An incision is usually made at the lower portion of the abdomen. Fat and tissue are removed, the abdominal wall is tightened and the incision is closed. During a tummy tuck, excess skin and fat is removed from the abdominal wall. The remaining tissue and muscle of the wall is then tightened. The overall effect is a smoother, tighter stomach.

Breast Augmentation: after an incision is made, Dr. Haupt then creates a pocket into which the implant will be inserted.  

Breast Lift: the design of the incisions can vary but usually include around the nipple-areola complex or in the crease under the breast. The nipple-areola is repositioned higher, the excess skin is removed and the breast is reshaped in a pleasing contour and in a more normal position. 

Liposuction: liposuction surgery may be considered to treat areas of excess fat in the stomach, buttocks, hips, love handles, saddlebags, thighs, calves, ankles, breasts, back, arms and neck. The basic technique of liposuction involves the removal of fat via a hollow metal tube (cannula) that is passed through the fatty tissue. One of the most common types of liposuction involves the aspiration of fat by attaching a pump that generates a vacuum. This is known as suction assisted liposuction (SAL).

Mommy makeover results and recovery will reveal themselves in several stages. In the immediate post-op period, the patient will see dramatic changes in the placement, shape and size of their breasts. Scars will go through a series of changes from the “surgical” line look of the early post-op period, to the slightly red, raised look of the first several months, to the mature, white scar that will emerge up to a year or so. It may take many months for the implant and skin to settle*.

The abdominal component of a mommy makeover will also go through a series of changes.  If you have severe stretching of your abdominal wall muscles, you will notice a dramatic change in your abdomen. 

The skin component of your abdomen is likely to be swollen in the early healing phase.  Swelling reduces from top down so patients can expect swelling to disappear first in the breast, later the upper abdomen, and finally the lower abdomen and the pubic area. Liposuction swelling takes up to at least 8 weeks to see a final result.

During your recovery, It is important that you stay well hydrated and get up and move every hour. You should avoid lifting, pulling, pushing over 10lbs until Dr. Haupt gives you the okay. 

The fees associated with a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, breast lift and liposuction includes three components: 1) surgeon’s fees, 2) anesthesia fees, and 3) facility fees. The procedure’s can range from $13,500.00 to $17,000.00 depending on your desires. The only way to determine the exact cost is to meet with Dr. Haupt for his honest opinion.

Recovery time will take 3-4 weeks after surgery but complete resolution will take at least 6 months.
