LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Our Lumenis Q-switched 1064 ND: YAG laser can remove dark tattoos. A consultation is required prior to your first appointment to determine if the tattoo can be appropriately treated and to determine a price quote based on the size of the tattoo.
How many sessions will I need?
We recommend a package of six sessions to start. More sessions may be required depending on the density of the ink. Treatment sessions are spaced 3-4 weeks apart.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
We inject local anesthetic to numb the treatment area prior to lasering to ensure a comfortable treatment process. After treatment once the local anesthetic wears off, the treatment area will be tender and may have some superficial blistering and scabbing. An antibiotic ointment is kept on the treatment area post procedure until all blistering and scabbing have resolved.
Will the laser completely remove my tattoo?
Not all laser tattoos removals will result in 100% clearance. Some patients may have a slight ghost like shadow from their lasered tattoo. Some patients may choose to get tattoo cover up work done in this situation. Tattoo cover up work is done more easily when the previous tattoo has been significantly faded with laser treatments.
Can tattooed eyebrows or microbladed eyebrows be treated with laser tattoo removal?
Yes, however this will depend on the color of the ink that was initially used and what the current color of the ink looks like. Not all cosmetic tattoos will be a good candidate for laser removal.
